Who the hell drew this thing?
Little alleee, age 7.
Ok, I was going to let this pass without comment, but since silence has been broken... What's Jesus doing with his right hand? Is that a "ghetto grab"?
I can sure tell that you grew up Catholic! I didn't even know what an Atheist was until I was in my early 20's. I am convinced that my gradeschool parish was fairly moderate - there WAS a shortage of nuns that still had their teeth. Sister Mary Carol, our principle, was much feared, but I did see her once without her habit - and she was a redhead! Come to think of it, if she had done something with herself she would have been great piece of fiery ass! And a fiesy wench she could have been - argh! Too bad she was married to Our Loving Savior. I had too much unrequited love for the redheaded class queen, Sheila Wrobel, to notice what a bod SMC had on her. Note to self: "Fantacize about redheaded nuns tonight". I believe it was the Marquis de Sade that was imprisioned for having intercourse with nuns. Have a nice day. Poop.
If you're talking to me, nope. I grew up literally in the Calvary Bible Church. It is a breakoff of the Presbyterian church--the presbys aren't conservative enough. It was evangelical; very much like baptist. It was very very anti-Catholic: the Catholics aren't considered Christians. In fact, they are supposed to be pagans.
Gack....what an unsavory thought. Catholics as Pagans. Now THAT is a non-sequitur.
My former church thinks that Catholics are pagans because:literal eucharistPraying to Mary and SaintsCrucifixes (a cross with a bloody Jesus) are false idolsIncenseHoly Waterthe pope...etc etc. My former church was, however, nowhere near as strict about plainness as my grandmother's church, the Quakers. My former church had a lot of emotional display, which, I think, is as much ritual and pagan as anything the Catholics do, possibly more so. I mean, come on. A person writhing around on the ground and speaking in tongues? Sounds like Voodooo to me.
I have always been pretty good at spotting the "catholic" mind - course maybe it's just coincidence since there are so many of them. Just goes to show, there is no shortage of religious hatemongers - regardless of what they call themselves.
