Why Alleee is not a Right-Winger

Speaking of the "Why Liberals are Wrong" show...

I just wanted to make some things clear, as far as my values go. I know that a lot of people associate "anti-liberal" with a lot of sinister, terrible things. That's because people like to make assumptions. It's easier.

I am against sexism, and racism. I am pro-sex. Homosexuality is not a moral issue. It's reality. I am for technological progress. I am for capitalism and free-trade. I am against almost all religion. I am against tribalism and the tyranny of culture against the individual.

Which makes me a creep, I guess. I do think what I do is important. I think it's a nice thing to do to push people in the direction of taking control and responsibility for their lives. It's a good thing for people to live their livges as honestly as possible, and I know that not having beliefs is a huge step in doing so.

I know that the show causes some people, many of whom are new and maybe who haven't heard many of our other shows, to remove my banner. Thst's cool. I don't want to force people to support what they (think) they shouldn't. That's because force goes against my values.

Thanks

Those who cannot stand to have their beliefs challenged, be they religious or political, and those that cannot entertain the imperfect nature of their ideology and defend what is right about it with reasoned dialogue, are fanatics.

Either that, or their conclusions have been drawn on an oversimplified model. I will have to listen to this "controversial" show.

Yea, breakerslion and thomas are both right, but I prefer to take the lower route. Damn liberals and their collectivist beliefs, bureaucrat-worship (why else do they keep feeding them ?), tree-hugging and people-hating ways. They should let us all choose what we want, and assemble in their own little communes and live the way they want, and see how it works. WOOPS ! They already tried that AND IT DIDN'T WORK !
