Who Did Satan Kill?

I would still like to know what Satan ever did that was so bad. Nobody can tell me. A listener, Marcus, pointed me to this site, a page that compares God's killin's with Satans. The author has not found any instance of Satan killing anyone. However, we know that God killed almost every living thing on earth, gave people hemmorroids and is planning to send those that do not love Him (and who wouldn't agree with this) to everlasting torment. So if you have to choose between two paths, why would you choose God?

Are you just a hedonist, a masochist, or a little bit of both?

If you're an atheist and have the lack of shame to go into a christian message board and ask for me, I'd appreciate it.

Update: Here is an example of an act MAYBE by Satan, maybe by God, but certainly endorsed by God: the death of Job's family. A wind came and blew their house down and it killed them. So Satan is either a God who can control the wind or God did it after having an intellectual conversation with Satan (who is probably not the same guy Christians believe was thrown out of heaven, otherwise he wouldn't be conferring with him or using him as a go-fer--but they sure sound like equals to me). Either way, a christian has no case to make that the act was an evil done by Satan. Unless you use MATERIAL MORALITY and show that even a stormtrooper following Hitler's orders does evil.

Satan: 10
God: Over 300,000 individuals less the flood massacre

First off, who said if Satan killed anybody? Second off, if you don't think that Satan going against God isn't "bad" then what more is there to discuss?

If you don't think that Satan going against God isn't bad...

What the hell...that means I think Satan disobeying God IS bad? Or...does it mean that I think that it ISN'T? Yeah, it's the last one. Well, I think that Satan should disobey if God asks him to do something bad, because bad is bad. But Christians think that disobeying God=bad. So basically, Daddy," (giggle), I would be showing that Christians are wrong for villifying Satan, who did only good: i.e.: obeying God, you silly!

Third off, Captain triple negatives...

I note a little hostility in your comment there. Forgive me, I thought I was being absolutely clear. What did Satan do that was so bad that he deserves to be, well, the symbol of all things evil?

Using Christian logic, one must understand that doing god's bidding must not be considered evil. If one is to be considered the epitome of evil, one might think that one would commit atrocities. Sorry for sounding like a smartass, but I am one. Where are the atrocities, man? Find me some atrocities!

I don't know if you are a believer in such silly an opposite characters. (The use of the triple negative indicates for me that there is a possibility there.)But if you are, perhaps you believe that the guy who has committed approximately 2 million atrocities is the good guy, and the guy who killed 10 people on the order of GOD is the BAD guy. If you are not, accept my apologies, and perhaps now you understand my position.

I have to wonder--how could someone be considered the very symbol of evil without killing anyone (or really doing anything at all) while there are so very many other characters that have--they would certainly make much better symbols of evil, wouldn't you think? Oh well--who am I to expect Christians to make sense?

QUESTION REMAINS UNANSWERED. NEXT.

May I? WTF?

The alleged "war" between "good" and "evil" is only a scam to justify war. Daddy cool, you have allowed slime to be poured into your ear. What's it like, living inside a comic book?

In the book of Job, Satan comes like a dog and does god's bidding. Where is the disobedience that got him cast out in the first place? The whole thing stinks of mackrel.

... or mackerel, if you prefer.

Hey Ryan, I assume that you are addressing "Daddy."

If you go by the non-scriptural story of Lucifer the fallen angel, which in reality is not satan at all, but a sun god from Persia, this character wanted to be God's servant, because God, his greatest lover (and the sentiment was requited), told him to serve none but him. Then God dumped him because God changed his mind and decided Lucy had to serve Man. Lucy said "No, I serve none but Thee," etc ect, so God said "Get Out of My Sight!"

God comes off the bastard there.

The catholics sort of liked that story, so the Monks and proests, the ones who had the only access to the real scriptures, wrote their own stuff in the margins. They are responsible for people thinking that Satan and Lucifer are the same guy. If you actually read the bible, and most christians don't, you realize that there is no One Guy who is The Satan throughout the bible, but rather all these different Sons of God. Satan is God's son, lover, and confidante. Pretty gross.

First off, who said if Satan killed anybody?

John 8:44 (NIV) -- "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him."

But whom did "satan" murder?

If you look at apocryphal texts (which of course didn't come straight out of God's mouth like the canon) you will find some really strange tales of Adam and Eve killing--get this: themselves over and over again because (I suppose) they hated their lives or their bodies or both. Anyways, in these tales, the devil does a great job of tricking Adam into accidentally killing himself over and over. God raises them back from the dead every time. The whole thing makes God look like a bratty kid trying to keep his ant farm from dying off.

Satan never directly murdered anybody in the aprocrypha, but Jesus did. When a boy, some other kid pissed him off and lil' Jeezum struck the kid dead. His parents made him apologize and raise the kid back to life. Sorry but I'm too lazy to cite all this right now. This is the last thing I'm doing before going to bed.

Pretty creepy stuff, anyway.

You know, I was always meaning to read more of the apocrypha than just the Watchers. Thanks for the info. The stuff they tried to sweep under the rug is clearly miles more interesting than the bloodthirsty gut-ripping canon.

A lot of Christians may get upset and want to attack back with words, but even as with little children when they are growing up, they form ideas that sometimes are so far from the truth. Adults can never convince them because in their young minds that is all they know to believe. As a parent you have understanding with hte knoledge that someday the truth will dawn on them. Of my four children that has happened in their lives as it happened to me when I became an adult. God our Father has such love for us even for His rebellious children who haven't realized what the truth is. He even loves me when I get it in my head to do the wrong thing. His love never stops. Satan is a created being as are all the angels. He use to lead all worship in the heavens worshipping God and then he got the idea that with all the powers and authority that God had given him that he was as good as God. That's like saying that a cake that you baked got the idea that it ws greater than you, it's creator. God and Satan are not opposites, there is no opposite to God, He is the one and only. Satan hates every one of us because God loves us so much. Satan's action was pure rebellion beyond being forgiven. See, the angels were created to worship and serve God, the see the truth and the power of God constantly but yet Lucifer chose to go against that. When you bring it to our level it is easy to view this as if we made a choice against a parent, a teacher, any leader over us. But this is God, He is beyond our comprehension but yet He is here. His desire is to choose to serve Him through Jesus Christ His Son. Did Satan murder? We are going after terrorists that invaded our territory and society and we are doing what we can to make them pay. The earth is the Lord's and the groups of people that Israel was directed to attack by God was because they were in rebellion to God. Does He love them, of course, God looks at our heart not our actions. If our heart is in complete rebellion toward Him, you don't get much from Him. His grace in this present day is pouring out on everyone because we are all here. One day that grace will be removed and pure hell will break out on the earth. You will then see Satan and his minions for who they really are. They are out to seek, kill, and destroy. Does Satan kill? Every war, every disaster, every argument, every disagreement happens because we are out from under the protection and guidance of Jehovah God. When we step away from the One who protects and loves us more than we could ever imagine, we open ourselves to the attacks of the enemy, the one who seeks, kills, and destroys. If Satan had his way he would wipe out every human on this earth, that is the hatred he has for us, because we are created in God's image. Walk in God's presence, be a friend to Him, surrender you life to Jesus Christ, take the freedom that He gave by voluntarily hanging on the cross giving His life for everyone of us. It cost Jesus everything just so we can be set free from all sin. Does Satan kill? Ever chance he gets.

Hi! Show me where it says this in the bible, please!

Satan hates every one of us because God loves us so much.

Bible reference, please.

See, the angels were created to worship and serve God, the see the truth and the power of God constantly but yet Lucifer chose to go against that.

Where in the bible does it say this? Please find the reference to the name "Lucifer," and tell me what it says. Please.

Did Satan murder? We are going after terrorists that invaded our territory and society and we are doing what we can to make them pay.

Is this an answer to the question? Doesn't look like one.

Does Satan kill? Every war, every disaster, every argument, every disagreement happens because we are out from under the protection and guidance of Jehovah God.

Reference, please. If you have one gram of respect for your bible, you will find some refernce to this.

Does Satan kill? Ever chance he gets.

Fine. Then show me in the bible that Satan killed every chance he got. Because I read your book (and you obviously have not), and you're describing Mr. Jehovah, who kills "ever chance he gets."

QUESTION EVADED, NOT ANSWERED. NEXT.

Luke 10:18
Job 1:6-12
Isaiah 14:12-20
Dueteronmy 32:11

As I started off in my first entry, you cannot show or even convince young children of the realities of adulthood. Teenagers get it in their heads that they are smarter than their parents only to discover when they have to deal with life by themselves that most of what their parents (decent parents) was true.

A person who has not yet accepted the Lordship of Christ as their saviour and beleive in the God Almighty, to them many truths have not been revealed. (Matthew 13:13 & Matthew 13:35).
There are two Greek words that describe this understanding for the scriptures, rhema and logos.

A rhema is the voice of the Holy Spirit as it speaks to the believer at the present moment. In this sense, the Christian should be guided by the Holy Spirit as he/she is guided through inner feelings, impressions and experiences. God's Rhema, the direct words of God to the individual, can also be imparted through the words of others, such as a preacher in a worship service, or a friend who counsels them. In this sense, God's direct guidance can be determined by a variety of means. The test of the authenticity of a Rhema from God is simple... How does it compare to the whole of Scripture? Orthodoxy says that God will not speak a word that contradicts His written word, the Scriptures, so there is a built-in safeguard to prevent misinterpretation.

By contrast, the Logos (λόγος), is typically used in Scripture to refer to what God has said to His people, that is, the collection of God's sayings about Himself, His relationship with His creation and His Church. The Logos of God is true for all time and in all places. It is easy to see how this can be interpreted both as the bible (God's Word Written) and in the Person of Jesus Christ (God's Word in the Flesh) as seen in John's Gospel, Chapter 1.

These entries I made on the first blog came from a rhema word (Holy Spirit) revealed to others and confirmed within my spirit. For you to see what God has revealed to many beleivers already, it will take you to give your life over to Jesus Christ and to be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. You cannot see because you are blinded by spiritual immaturity Matthew 13:13 & Matthew 13:35).
This is not a slam on you, but just an explanation as to where you are in the scheme of things. God is so ready to reveal all that he has for you, it is up to you to make that choice.
You can continue debating, arguing, convincing yourself that what you see is reality and not take your eyes off of what you want to see, or allow God to speak to those things that happened to you in your childhood and let His love be revealed to you like you cannot even imagine. If you stay as an ant trying to understand human ways, you will remain as an ant. Lift your eyes to the Lord and see His glory and all that He has waiting for you. A treasure awaits you.
Don't expect one scripture to necessarily give you an answer, it is the whole Word together that is one.

Does this answer your questions? No, because where you are now, there is too much ignorance (lack of knowledge) on your part. You should not give opinions as though they are facts on things that you don't know anything about. Read Job 38. Even Job (Job 1:8-11) who stood out above everyone else on the earth in God's eyes was ignorant (lack of knowledge).
Pursue God and the knowledge of Jesus Christ and you will know the truth, not the truth of man or of the enemy, but the truth of God.

If you want to know all about Satan according to the scriptures go to www.crosswalk.com and use the Bible Study Tools, put in the word satan and select whatever version you want and it will bring up all the verses that have the word satan in them. It will tell you of his deeds and about him.

Satan cannot kill directly, he doesn't have that authority (Read Job). He however can and has manipulated people to do his bidding throughout history. So I end with what I said at the end of my last blog.

Does Satan kill? Every chance he gets.

Hellbound Alleee said...

HisKid, you can't tell me that SATAN killed anyone in Job, or if GOD did it. If it actually WERE Satan, he killed 10 people, MAYBE. And with God's blessing. Did he do anything that God didn't tell him to do?

Let's see your "references:"

Luke 10:18

"And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven."

Yeah? And?

Job 1:6-12

Satan is God's son. They talk. Then God gives all of Job's stuff to his son, Satan. So?

Isaiah 14:12-20

This passage is the ONLY place you find the word "Lucifer." The person referred to here is the King of Babylon, who was defeated, like his God, Lucifer, a character that was neither evil, nor a God. Unless you believe in Zoroastrianism. Are you Persian? Do you believe in that religion? Because a lot of people did in those days. There is a story referring to a "lucifer," but it has nothing to do with the many varied "satans" who are referred to in your book. There is not one guy named "Satan." And he isn't "Lucifer." Funny how you can't find a direct reference to the angel falling, isn't it? You'd think if that's what you believe, deeply, you could find me the BIBLE STORY where "Lucifer" does all the things you think he did. But you don't. What you found was a reference to the religion of the conquered King of Babylon, not your religion. WHOOPSIE.

"Dueteronmy" 32:11: (Can't spell your own bible books, either)
11 As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings:

Yes, pretty. Don't know why you gave me the verse. Funny though--eagles can't do that. Thanks for providing me with a bible verse showing how ignorant people were about animals. Ever see an eagle carrying its young on its wings? I haven't. Eagles don't "flutter," either.

"Does this answer your questions? No, because where you are now, there is too much ignorance (lack of knowledge) on your part. "

I like how you ask a question and answer it yourself without finding out first. Is this how you got your religion? By making it all up in your head? Speaking of ignorance, why don't you read that bible of yours?

"Satan cannot kill directly, he doesn't have that authority (Read Job). " No--God gives him the power and authority. But NOBODY kills and can be cruel like God. Find that in your crosswalk.com. And it takes a Christian to believe in a satan. You are a true satanist.

Father God, in the name of Jesus I ask that you would reveal yourself to hellbound alleee and show her your great love and what Jesus did even for her on the cross. Remove the scales from her eyes so that she can see you and your glory. Save her soul from an eternity in hell. Forgive her Lord for her sins and set her free. Holy Spirit I ask that you would be present with her while she is awake and while she is asleep comforting her while she wanders in this time of disbelief and ignorance of the truth.

As God loves you I love you in Christ. This is my last entry because as of now you are not able to see the truth of who God really is and how much He cares for you. Goodbye alleee, I leave you in the hands of the Lord God Almighty and His Holy Spirit because only He can change you.
