It's not Mothers' Day, but with all the daffodils and crocuses coming up, it just might be time to drag out a Mother's Day sermon. After all, it's Women's History Month, and this is, historically, what it's like to be a woman listening to this kind of sermon every year on Mothers' Day. Yeah, you get to hear about what an evil slut you are. I suddenly realize that it's pretty damned easy to find something to listen to to be reminded how big of an evil slut you are, and I really didn't need to help. But sometimes, just sometimes, we privileged few who do not have to live in that kind of environment (where you have to listen to males between the ages of 14 and 30 who were not raised by two moms), you don't realize what kind of propaganda gets pumped into the souls of people with evil, slutty vaginas and vulvae and pudenda and that sort of thing. Makes us watch terrible television and read awful magazines, apparently. That's beside the point. If I wanted to Destroy America, I'd....wait a minute. I DO want to Destroy America! The answer, my sistahs, is to consume, consume, consume False Slack. If only I'd have known it was so easy...

Now, some of you may be familiar with Icke from Alex Jones and the like, so you may not know that Icke thinks there's a race of alien lizard people disguising themselves as powerful leaders. Betty Dodson Wiki

Betty Dodson, PhD, (born August 24, 1929) is an American sex educator, author, and artist. Dodson held the first one-woman show of erotic art at the Wickersham Gallery in New York City in 1968. She left the art world to teach sex to women. She is widely known as a pioneer in women's, and to a somewhat lesser extent men's, sexual liberation, having sold more than 1 million copies of her first book, Sex for One. Much of her fame has come from her work not only advocating masturbation, but conducting workshops for more than 30 years in which groups of about 10 or more women (and at least once a group of men) would talk, explore their own bodies, and masturbate together. She hosted a public access cable television program in New York City in the early 80's, and conducted her workshop - a dozen or so nude women discussing and practicing masturbation - on TV. Her website called "Betty Dodson's Genital Gallery" shows many films of masturbation and intercourse, with close-up views of genitals.

The clips were lifted from an old Hour of Slack show from 1999, which included clips from a documentary that may not exist called "Countdown to X-Day." This was to be the last X-Day, as they were all expecting the X-ists to come down in their pleasure saucers in a trail of destruction, waiting to present their minister cards as passage onto the ships. These recordings were of their excitement and disappointment, and the beginning of many years of disappointment, waiting for that one day when it will really, truly be July 5th, 1998.

Mondo Diablo Episode 291: Fundie Fantasy

To start the New Year off right, I had to start it with fstdt.com . Fundies say the Darndest Things. This episode is all about Teh Gays, because DADT was FINALLY repealed, and the fundies are all OVER that shit. This has implications. Fundies have traditionally been pro-military: My Country: Love it or Leave It. So, maybe they'll leave, or maybe they'll stop supporting the military, or maybe, JUST MAYBE, they'll start ignoring the gays? Or are they simple sports fans, supporting the team that DOESN'T acknowledge an Out player? Whatever they do, they're screwed, and I couldn't be happier.

Mondo Diablo Episode 290: Christmas for Mutants

Well folks, this is the home stretch. Christmas is headed towards that glorious week before New Year's, where everyone except shoppers who wish to bring their children with them to vex me and give me a headache are relaxing, eating turkey sandwiches, and watching sports. May you all enjoy something good next week; maybe some depressing foreign films? Or you could be like Francois and I, and make it a Christmas tradition to watch The Room. Something decidedly not Christmassy. I guess I'm one of those people who spends so much of her brain on Christmas for the second six months of the year that, by the time it gets here I am ready for daffodils and tulips. No more snow, please. Had enough. What I am really ready for is some rest. I'm working on a helluvah chest cold and I fear that once I rest and relax on Christmas day, after everything is over, it's going to rip into me--even though I have to work at 3 am on the 26th. Isn't that just peachy?

Mondo Diablo Episode 289: Lassie's Christmas

When I was hunting for something to chop up for you, I realized I hadn't really, truly included a depressing Christmas Special for you yet, so here it is. Every year that "Lassie" was on, there was a depressing Christmas special episode. Some more depressing than others. I assure you, however, that Lassie's getting injured is not part of this particular episode. This one involved rather the true spirit of Christmas, which I liked. I could have done without the spiritual message, but what do you expect from a 1960 episode? Anyway, it included some good, old-fashioned mixing with the classes--among the children, the way Christmas season was intended. The adults only mixed in charitable and employee/employer, ruler/rulee ways, which is also to be expected. Now that I think of it, in oldy tymes, children were not seen as the higher classes, and really not seen as children at all, but they were lumped in with the servant class (Am I getting to be quite the commie, though?) So this is definitely a good, old-fashioned Christmas story that's as depressing and as relieving of middle-class guilt as any Christmas story there was, hein?

Mondo Diablo Episode 286: This Christmas has Been Brought to You by Child Labor

This week, the Krampus and his workers, Knecht Ruprecht, Krampus, Hans Trapp, Zwarte Piet, Klaubauf, Muff, Butz, Pere Fouettard and Belsnickel, bring you the last in the series of Worst Jobs podcasts. This time it's children making dolls for children, gos-herding and turkey dressing. As in, yanking the guts out of hundreds or maybe thousands of fresh turkeys, by hand, in time for Christmas.

But my own day of judgment is at hand (did you know that the Visit from Saint Nicholas could be considered a mini "day of judgment" for children? It's true)! I will be presenting, tomorrow night, a small amount of information about Christmas political history, characters and pagan traditions that have come all the way to us. This week, the BBC shares information about Boar's Heads and Yule logs, which is all incredibly interesting. But I would like to share some information about the Stallo, the Metal Man, who is another in my growing list of Annual Gift-Giving Men other than Saint Nicholas.

The Saami await a Yuletide visit from a giant, horned and hairy wildman named Stallo. In Lappish, stallo means "metal man." Sometimes Stallo is dressed in stylish, all-black clothes like an MIB (man in black) or in a metallic suit (as conspiracy theorists conjecture, a robot or ancient astronaut in a space suit). Most likely the metal suit was the chain-mail armor of the berserker Vikings. The amoral Stallo delights in macabre acts of genital mutilation of his innocent victims. (Stallo pokes his staff up the skirts of young girls.) On Christmas Eve, Stallo rides around in his sleigh looking for something to drink. Traditionally, the Saami drive a stake into the ground near a fresh-water supply so Stallo can tie up his sled while having a refreshing gulp of water. If Stallo cannot find anything to drink, he will bash in a child's skull, sucking out the brains and blood to satiate his thirst. The most dangerous night for Lapp children is Christmas Eve, when Stallo lurks about looking for naughty victims to cram into his sack.

Mondo Diablo Episode 284: Vomit Collector's Christmas

Welcome to your Atheist Christmas Podcast for the Year of Our Overlords, 2010. This year, I'm looking back at Christmas past. "Your past" you ask? No, long past. Looooong past. Go back, back, back before that cloudy April when some guy who may have been named Jesus but decidedly didn't perform any miracles and wasn't born of a virgin and may or may not have been a prophet or a rabbi, and may or may not have been crucified, was born. You'll see Egyptians lounging about, you'll see Greek women tearing apart a hapless young man, and you'll see masters pretending their slaves are "free" for a fortnight. You'll see yetis and wildmen covered in fur, delivering presents to people in northern Europe and Scandinavia. You'll see holly, ivy and trees, decorated in festive gold and silver, and blazing fires, while people warm themselves and gorge on meat. You'll see lascivious displays of cross dressing and public orgy. You'll marvel as reindeer fly on psychedelic mushrooms, and wonder why you still see those mushrooms on Christmas trees. There is so much to see, and only a month to see it all. So strap in and get ready to be overwhelmed, or, in the case of most of you, underwhelmed. "Seen that, done it."

Mondo Diablo Episode 276: Do Whatever You Want; Don't Mind Me

In case you're wondering, I saw this video posted on this blog: http://goeagles2u.blogspot.com/ . I don't know if anyone is entertained by endtimes predictions, but I wouldn't mind if the blog author saw this on his trackback.

This is another typical alarmist video from some Christian preacher. A Warning-against-Rampant-Satanism video is not a rarity, not by any means. This one happens to be chock full of copyright violationy goodness. Yes, it's fair use. But I don't think Disney knows what Fair Use means. You have to wonder how many Christian materials snatched up Disney content to show rampant liberalism/homosexuality/satanism/Communism is. Hey, RIAA: don't look at me: you should really plumb the depths of the Christian Educational Video genre. It would be a goldmine--for the RIAA, of course, Not for the artists. Riiight. They give money won from lawsuits to ARTISTS. I'd like to see THAT happen.

I don't fully know what Fixed Earth dot com is, and I'm not sure I want to spend all of my time figuring it out. In a nutshell, physics is wrong, Copernicus was wrong, Einstein was wrong, they were all Jews and Kaballists, and the Earth is the center of the universe.

Mondo Diablo Episode 272 is Bacchanalia Part IV: The Death of Some Guy

We end this Opus with the story of PDQ's actual composing period, his relationship with Prince Fred and his cousin, Betty-Sue Bach, his death and burial, and finally, an interview of Peter Schickele, the discoverer of PDQ, by Tom Snyder. I can only hope, in some small way, that these podcasts aided in bringing the truth about J.S. Bach's last and least son to the internet public.
